Deliveries & Returns

General Delivery Times; We do not have every garment in every size and colour in stock in our UK warehouse, so please allow up to 7 working days for despatch in case we need to get things in from Carhartt's European warehouse*.  If an item is required urgently, please send us an email so that we can check availability in our stores. 

Due to increases in postage charges we do now need to charge for postage for orders less than £100.  We use either Royal Mail, Evri or APC Courier - postage charges below:-

Order values of £50 or less - £3.50.  Order values between £50 and £100: £4.50 - above £100: free postage 

Orders going to Northern Ireland, Scottish Highlands and British Islands are sent via either Royal Mail or Evri which is a 3-5 business day service.  We can upgrade this to a two-day service at extra cost if required.

Please take care when entering your address and email.  We do not accept responsibility for packages sent to an address that has been incorrectly given and we will be unable to send order updates if an email address has been mis-typed.  If an error has been spotted after an order has been placed please contact us as soon as possible so that we can amend any details prior to shipment.


*On the rarest occasion there may be a delay either at the European warehouse or with customs and it may not be possible to keep to the above despatch time.  Unfortunately we have no control with any such delays, however we will do our best to ensure items are sent as quickly as possible when they arrive with us.


Payment

We accept PayPal and credit/debit cards through this website.  Payments can also be spread over instalments if desired.


Returns

There's no time limit for returning an item if something doesn't fit. However if your order is returned after 60 days we will issue a credit note less the original postage.

Please ensure that any items being returned are in unworn, saleable condition and with all the tags/labels still attached.  We will not refund soiled/worn/damaged items or items with the tags removed.

If you are returning an item within 60 days we are happy to send out a replacement item with no additional postage or admin charges.  Just write on your Returns Guide which size you need and leave the rest to us.

Refunds are normally processed within two business days of the item/s being received back.

Please enclose a copy of your invoice together with your instructions (i.e. alternative size or refund) and send your returns to:

Please note that we are unable to process any returns unless there is paperwork inside the parcel letting us know who has sent the item back, whether you would like an exchange or a refund and all tags and labels are still attached!  

Failure to return an item with all its original tags may result in it being sent back to you or a 20% handling fee deducted from any refund.  

*Saleable condition means that items must be returned in the same condition they were received as, unworn with all original tags still attached and free from pet hair, dirt, dust, etc.

Goods returned as faulty will be inspected for a manufacturing defect.  If we deem the item to be faulty a replacement will be issued.  Any damages/defects must be reported to us within 48 hours of delivery.

When returning goods, please use a signed-for or registered service for your own safety.  We are unable to accept a proof of postage receipt, as this is not proof of delivery.  www.evri.co.uk is a very economical and convenient trackable collection/delivery courier service.

We will not refund your costs in returning the item to us and other services provided to you in connection with your purchase unless you return the item to us because of an error on our part or because it is defective - if this is the case, please contact us BEFORE returning as we cannot refund more than the original transaction amount and will arrange for a collection subject to approved photographic evidence.

Please note that all items remain the responsibility of the customer until we receive it.

Since all apparel has an expected service life, this commitment does not cover damage caused by normal wear and tear (including zippers and other hardware), misuse, neglect, or obvious abuse of the garment. Carhartt, Inc. assumes no liability for garments that have had alterations, embroidery, or other ornamentation added to the garment.
